Richie Onori (Entertainer, Creator, Drummer, Vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist) born and bred in Los Angeles, Richie built his career performing and touring with some of the most influential musicians in the fields of rock, funk and jazz, which include Keith Emerson (ELP) Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) Rick Derringer, Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple) Bobby Kimball (Toto) Paul Rodgers, Larry Carlton, Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions) Slash, Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow) and funk genius Louis Johnson of Brothers Johnson to name just a few. One of his most prestigious accomplishments is being a fully-fledged member of the multi-platinum international group, the Glam Rock sensation “Sweet” aka “The Sweet” for the last 11 years (hits include: Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run, Love is like Oxygen & Little Willie)
Richie, a versatile and multi-dimensional musician, performs in all styles. However, rock has always been one of Richie's favorite genres, having grown up cutting his teeth on Cream, Jimi Hendrix, and Deep Purple. He finds blues rock and progressive rock most thrilling to perform.
Early on, at age 17 Richie played with his first national act, Question Mark and the Mysterians (mega hit: 96 Tears) which is now considered by many to be the original punk rock group. In addition, Richie was a member of the explosively popular L.A. progressive rock band Satyr. Featuring ex-Quiet Riot member Chuck Wright, Keyboardist - Producer Pat Regan (Ritchie Blackmore, Kiss, and Rainbow) and Mott the Hoople front man Nigel Benjamin, Satyr’s raw dynamic power created a huge following culminating in tours with acts such as Alice Cooper and opening shows for Aerosmith.
In the last few decades there have been several major developments in Richie's expanding career, including an acute command of guitar mastery, singing, composing and arranging. All performed on two completed solo CD’s entitled "Days of Innocence" (voted 'Best Rock Album ' by Rock Over- America magazine) and the ever socially relevant album "In The Name Of Freedom." Both albums garnered rave reviews across the boards, with vocal and composing comparisons to such iconic legends as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison, and the diversity of Ian Hunter. All the material from both albums and more is currently being performed live in concert by The Blues Messenger with a sizzling Blues Rock presentation that can’t be missed.
Richie’s album “In the Name of Freedom” was adapted into a Rock Opera musical titled “Freedom - Rock Prophecy” which Richie wrote and created, produced and performed and has staged several times, joined onstage by a who’s who of world-renowned singers and musicians.
A certified rock veteran by his public, Richie has been proud to contribute in helping to build and preserve the Sweet legacy well into the 21st century. Since the band’s reformation in 2008, it has headlined and co-headlined hundreds of shows with other legendary acts such as: Boston, Sammy Hagar, Joan Jett, Steve Winwood and more (as well as touring South America with the mega legendary Journey). Sweet has emerged as a must-see legacy act that blows audiences away. With Richie’s business know-how, he additionally contributes by spearheading the management duties of Sweet along with his co-members of the Sweet organization, Blitz Touring.

Richie’s projects continue to explode and just recently in late 2018, the launch of his Glam-A-Rama Theme Concert experience show at the world-famous Whiskey A Go Go was a major success and is now being plotted out on multi-platforms and venues across the nation.
Not only is Richie Onori an iconic veteran of the 60s and 70s American Rock music explosion, but more importantly he is a visionary leader who is creating a rebirth of classic Blues Rock before this major American musical voice is lost, and is at the same time forging a new future for a genre many thought was dead.
